The long-running noontime show "Eat Bulaga!" has been a staple in Philippine television for over four decades. It has captivated audiences with its entertaining segments, catchy theme songs, and beloved hosts. However, recent events have shaken the show's foundation, as co-hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon, along with TAPE Inc. co-founder Tony Tuviera, seek to acquire ownership of the "Eat Bulaga!" trademark after splitting from the Jalosjos-owned production company.

In February of this year, Tuviera filed an application to claim the trademark for "Eat Bulaga!" in the Intellectual Property Office. De Leon followed suit in March, according to a Twitter user who reported the news. The expiration of TAPE's ownership of the trademark is set on June 14, which gives the applications made by Tuviera and De Leon a valid basis.

The split between TVJ (the moniker used by the famous trio Tito, Vic, and Joey) and the Jalosjos family, who owned the production company TAPE, was made public on May 31. It came as a shock to many fans who have grown accustomed to seeing them host the show together. The reasons behind the split were not publicly disclosed, but it was evident that there were disagreements between the two parties.

Many fans expressed their support for TVJ and wished them well in their future endeavors. They also expressed concern over the future of "Eat Bulaga!" without the familiar faces of Tito, Vic, and Joey. However, the trio assured fans that they will continue hosting the show under a new management team.

Tuviera, who has been a close friend of TVJ, quickly stepped in to offer his support. Along with De Leon, they decided to take ownership of the "Eat Bulaga!" trademark, which would give them control over the show's branding and intellectual property rights. This move also solidifies their commitment to the show's future.

The Sotto brothers and De Leon have a long-standing relationship with Tuviera, who they consider not just a dear friend but also part of their family. They have worked together on various projects and have developed a strong bond over the years. With Tuviera's extensive experience in the television industry, his involvement in "Eat Bulaga!" could bring new ideas and innovations to the show.

Many fans are excited about the prospect of TVJ, Tuviera, and De Leon working together to take "Eat Bulaga!" to new heights. However, there are also concerns about how the show will change under new management. Will it remain true to its roots and continue to provide wholesome entertainment for the whole family, or will it cater to a younger audience and adopt a more modern format? Only time will tell.

Regardless of what changes may come, one thing is certain: "Eat Bulaga!" has left an indelible mark on Philippine culture. It has provided a platform for aspiring artists, brought joy to countless households, and has become a part of many families' daily routines. Its success story is a testament to the power of Filipino creativity, resilience, and spirit.

As the future of "Eat Bulaga!" unfolds, fans will undoubtedly continue to support the show and its hosts. Whether it's through social media, live shows, or other forms of engagement, they will always be a part of the "Eat Bulaga!" community. And with the combined talents of TVJ, Tuviera, and De Leon, the show's legacy is sure to endure for many years to come.
